“Trusting ChatGPT? Think Again.”

AI is smart, but not always right.

I remember myself 3 or 4 years back, searching for things on Google to get all the information I needed to know for my school. We have wondered about the Artificial Intelligence thing entering the world. Now, as it’s not a sci-fi thing anymore, the world has changed.

Since the release of these Artificial intelligences, the world has shifted to a different way of learning, working, creating, promoting, and so on.

The same guy who relied on books and other sources from Google now relies on an AI for his work, academics, and even as a company to talk with.

I have been using this for over 2 years now. I am now heavily reliant on this ChatGPT AI tool for almost everything I do. It makes me a good timetable. It also gives me a good timetable to follow. It also tells me how to learn effectively, and I can keep telling about it.

But recently, I have just discovered something odd about my usage of this AI tool.

I just discovered 4 things that can change your mind on using ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is inaccurate in things. You can’t take a stand on the answer it gives you. It doesn’t even tell you the source from which the information was taken. Imagine asking ChatGPT for information related to your exam the night before. It can make something up for you, and you might never know about it until you get your results out.

ChatGPT relies on plagiarism. What I mean by that is it just gathers pieces of information from random books, the internet, and even newspapers to create its model. The author won’t even get referenced by it. This isn’t just about the clarification for the information it is providin,g but about giving credit to the people who did that job for you. This can be unethical.

It is also considered inefficient. It takes and consumes a large amount of energy and resources just to give you random things that you don’t even know if they’re right.

It always provides you with this weird shortcut thing. For the people who are learning, in my opinion, it is a huge disadvantage as you won’t learn anything completely. I have recently asked about one of my calculus problems and I learnt something. What I learnt was that ChatGPT sucks in such thinking ability skills. I never asked any damn thing about my subjects after that.

To sum up, this thing is just like your autocorrect used in your smartphones. It just collects the data of your most used words and stores it. When you type something related to it, the word just shows up, and you’ll get the answer.

This is something that ChatGPT does. All it does is take information from your previous chats or just from someone’s chat who had conversations with it about the same thing.

It just gives you something you need.

This is something that makes me think that this AI tool is trustworthy.

Also, it is poor emotionally. If you had talks about your plan or something you want to achieve, don’t ever share that with ChatGPT. It is such a killer for it. Whatever you say, it treats you like an intelligent guy, which is something one shouldn’t need, especially if you are looking for growth and self-improvement.

There is a thing called the Dopamine Talk.

It tells that if you constantly keep talking about something you wanna do to someone, you won’t achieve it. This is because the talk you just had already gives you the feel of winning. That dopamine hit drags you down.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t share this within your team.

That’s different from this.

It makes you believe a false hope that could never happen. This is one of the worst feelings one can ever get when they discover that their hopes have been shattered.

I am not totally against ChatGPT.

I still use it. But using it in such a way that I control it.

It just helps for me, like a company or a co-worker, maybe.

Everything is fine until you start believing someone blindly.

Next time, when you want to learn something, head over to Google and type something for yourself and refer to multiple sources to get the best out of it.

I just wanna say:

“Real control isn’t about having the power to move the pieces — it’s about not letting yourself become one.”

Have this in your mind.

I’ll meet you all in the next blog.
Until then, Amateur University signing off.
